  • Cory Fitzsimmons (’06), a freshman at Central College, ran a 30:18 in West Salem, Wisconsin, in an 8K race on October 14th. This was an improvement over his 31:43 run at the Roy Griak Invitational on 9/23. He is currently Central’s 8th runner on the JV squad. (last edited 10/22/06)
  • Josh Pommer (’05), recently completed the Chicago Marathon in 3:18:02 (~7:33/mile). (last edited 10/23/06)
  • Megan Renaud (’05), a sophomore at Mid-America Nazarene, earned All-Conference honors October 21st at the Heartland of America Athletic Conference Championship. She placed 15th running a 21:22 on the 5K course at Graceland University. Her season best is a 20:00 at the NAIA Mid-States Invitational on 10/13. (last edited 10/22/06)
  • Tera Behning (’03), a senior at Mount Mercy College, helped the Mustangs capture the Midwest Classic Conference Championship on October 21st. She ran a 21:12 placing 12th on the 5K course at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf, Iowa. Mount Mercy’s team placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 12th, and 17th scoring 22 points. St. Ambrose University placed 2nd with 44 points. (last edited 10/22/06)
  • Ryan Terlouw (’03), a senior at Hope College, placed 18th at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational October 14th. He ran a 25:10 on the 8K course leading Hope College to a 15th place team finish among the 18 teams competing. Ryan is majoring in Chemistry with a minor in neuroscience and mathematics.   • Bryan George (’02): Former all-American track athlete Bryan George is in his first season as a volunteer assistant men’s and women’s cross country coach at Central. A 2006 Central graduate, George was a team co-captain, all-conference and all-regional performer in cross country last season. He earned all-America honors in indoor track and field, was a track and field co-captain and was voted the squad’s MVP. George was also named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America track and field team. (last edited 10/22/06)
  • Jennifer Dole (’00): Lives in Cedar Rapids working as an accountant. She still enjoys running everyday, and is currently training for her first marathon. (last edited 10/23/06)
  • Stephanie Brown (1999): This former cross country captain is currently living in Tennessee. After a 5 year break, she began running again last year. She ran a PR 5k time of 20:01, and placed 3rd for the women and 1st in her division. She completed the Music City half-marathon (her first) last year in 1:54. (last edited 4/18/08)
